With Processor BI, it's possible to identify the trends through the contextualization and analysis process of information, which makes it possible to anticipate changes and even competitors and market actions.
BI Processor leverages investments already done by most organizations in systems (ERP, legacies, spreadsheets, applications, database, among others), allowing users to manage the existing information.
With Processor BI your company will have:

With the philosophy of democratization of information in the corporations, Processor BI has no restrictions with relation to the number of users or information published in the solution, which is great differential in the total cost of implementation of a BI and/or BSC project. And after a while any new information to be published or new professional to be involved does not require any new investment, optimizing how the solution is used within the company.
Technological Assumptions
The Processor BI solution uses the market standard platform. Its information repository is based on the Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 platform, using the standard architecture of this SGBD. This way, the solution allows the information to come from any market standard database, such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, files DBF, TXT, XML, as well as spreadsheets in MS Excel, for instance. This process can be performed by using the ETL service (Extraction, Transformation and Load) of the SQL Server platform, such as the DTS or SSIS (according to SGBD version).
Since it uses market standard protocols, the Processor BI allows access to information to be done with OLAP hubs, as directly to the relational databases, according to strategy defined by the client. This way, companies that use Processor BI can use as information strategy the availability of OLAP (MOLAP or ROLAP) hubs or yet directly in the production databases (OLTP or ROLAP).
With web interface, the solution makes all of its functionalities available in an integrated environment. The solution also allow that, according to defined access levels, authenticated users (authentication integrated with MS Windows Server - AD) can access information from the dashboard which are integrated to the BSC (Strategic Maps), Indicators (KPIs) or also view management information.
The viewing and analysis of management information are available in two formats:
- By using components integrated to Microsoft Office, which allows them to be fully integrated to MS Excel, it's possible to export (integrated to the data repository) safely, and also users to construct customized views according to their strategic view by simply dragging and dropping the metadata in the desired places.
- By using a component that allows constructing views using the drag-and-drop concept with many information graphic and comparison functionalities.
The solution also counts with a multi-language feature (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), multi-company feature, Integration with MS Outlook 2003 or later (Inbox), among other resources.
BI - Business Intelligence
Module responsible for providing management information analysis functionalities and/or operating functionalities by using a web interface, which allows the construction of new views based on metadata defined by the company.
Main functionalities:
- Access to information coming from OLAP hubs and OLTP (ROLAP) database;
- Construction of new views by the users themselves using the drag-and-drop concept;
- View profile, allowing permission for the new views created;
- Definition and use of previously defined analysis (views), thus increasing productivity;
- Definition of information analysis allowing to record information that complements the analyzed data;
- Export to MS Excel*;
- Screenshot;
- Approval of information via workflow;
- Multiterm glossary;
- Display of information with integrated and dynamic graphs;
* When the component is used integrated to MS Office.
BSC - Balanced Scorecard
Module responsible for promoting definition, planning, and strategic planning follow-up functionalities by using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) concept.
With Processor BI your company can define strategic maps (general or by department) with access permission control, and comprised of perspectives, strategic goals, and performance indicators (KPIs). In addition, for each strategic goal, an action/initiative plan can be defined with associated activities/tasks through approval processes before any changes in the initially defined forecast.
The performance indicators can be registered with the direct access to databases or with manual registration of results, allowing the company to even feed the goals according to the defined period and criteria. Depending on the setting creation, an indicator can be detailed by using information published in the BI such as the hub. All of this in an integrated and native fashion in the solution.
Main functionalities:
- Definition and viewing of strategic maps in two formats:
- Dynamic format: the solution itself positions the strategic goals in the interface according to BSC assumptions (with dependencies between goals), attributing to them their respective performance and associated color (green, yellow or red);
- Customized format: the company can define an image associated to the relevant map, and determine on it where it wants to position the goal performance indication elements for users to be able to view the respective performance of each visual element;
- Details of strategic goals on indicators, with the possibility of viewing it in either the traffic light, thermometer or speedometer mode;
- The strategic map can be viewed as an integrated map with all linked information;
- It's also possible to detail the indicator results with access to the previously published information view;
- Action Plans/Initiatives Management viewed in the Gantt graph mode;
- Strategic Maps Themes concept;
- Area to publish analysis concerning the performance of indicators in the period;
- Among other resources.
CPM - Corporate Performance Management
This module is responsible for providing an integrated interface to the BI and BSC modules. It counts with a dashboard for the company to manage its performance in an integrated fashion.
With this module, users can create dashboards to illustrate the performance of goals and objectives established by the company using analysis and viewing elements creation resources (via specific interface assistants), which may provide to users:
- Access to either public or private information views published in the solution;
- Viewing of action plans and initiatives with filters per status;
- Viewing of strategic goals and/or performance indicators with filters per periods;
- Viewing of elements customized by the company with Intranet access and webparts from partners or created by the company, such as weather forecast, stocks indicators;
- Among other resources
Also on this dashboard, users can export their customized panels to other users, thus sharing their management strategy and mode with one another.
